Telex - Overview

Telex remains an important means of messaging in many business sectors. With RELAY messaging can become less time consuming by removing the delays and errors usually experienced during conventional telex transmission.

Messages are created at the user's own workstation and transmitted without any need to understand the intricacies of the telex network.

RELAY formats each message and deals appropriately with any service signals. Where numbers are regularly engaged, RELAY will automatically re-dial until connection is made, or select an alternative number. Messages can be batched to the same destination and because every transaction is logged, message tracking is straight-forward.

There's also the facility to make conversational telex calls during which previously prepared data can be transmitted at a single keystroke.

Tight security procedures control which functions are made available to individual users. Message integrity is controlled by full Answerback checking both at the start and finish of message transmission. Top security messages can be held in the queue until fully approved.
