FAX - Overview
With RELAY, the inefficiencies associated with conventional
fax simply do not exist. Time will no longer be wasted walking to
the fax machine, queuing to use it or repeatedly attempting to connect
to an engaged number.
Instead, RELAY will control your entire fax traffic. You simply
create your message at your terminal or workstation and RELAY
will do the rest; formatting the message, adding a cover page,
logo and signature to ensure that it arrives looking sharp and
professional.
To cater for regularly engaged numbers, RELAY can dial an alternative
number for each call and, once connected, the system can batch
messages addressed to the same destination to save call time and
costs.
Incoming messages with touch tone (DTMF) codes can be automatically
delivered to specified individuals while uncoded messages can
be viewed by a supervisor before being forwarded.
RELAY tightly controls the security of all operations and can
be set up so that user access to specific functions is linked
to their level of privilege within the system. Message integrity
is controlled with full CUI checking to CCITT Error Correction
standards, and a full record of all communications is kept to
make message tracking easy.
