Applications Interface
These routines allow user written programs to communicate
directly with RELAY through a defined set of system parameters.
Supported routines are:
Send
- Queue any type of message direct from any application
- Unique log numbers automatically returned to the application
- Link applications with object module or shareable image
- Use default or modified transmission parameter values
- Success and failure codes automatically returned
- Alternate numbers supported
- Delayed transmission supported
Enquire
- Obtain message status information on one or all messages
- Returns details of messages waiting to be sent
- Returns details of messages that have been sent
Remove
- Allows auto deletion of messages no longer required
- Success and failure codes returned automatically
Notify
- Confirmation of successful and failed transmissions
- (direct to your application, or to a data file for access
by your application)
- Automatic updating of application database
Compatible with all 3GL or 4GL languages
