WHAT IS A GSM GATEWAY?
(Also called a Premicell or Fixed Cellular Terminal - FCT)
A GSM Gateway is a hardware device which contains
SIM cards and allows a Land based call to be routed to a Mobile
phone in the most cost effective way by cutting out the connection
charge imposed by the company that supplies your Land to Mobile
service.
Calls made to mobile phones from Land based fixed
lines supplied by BT, NTL, Telewest and MCI generally cost between
10 and 20p depending on the time of day and the network being called
i.e. Orange, Vodaphone, O2, T-Mobile, 3, Virgin, Tesco. See examples
of land line
to mobile costs.
By Connecting a GSM Gateway to your Telephone Switch
and routing the outbound call to the Network that the mobile phone
is using reduces the cost of the call being made to 6.5p per minute
compared with an average cost of 12p.
WHY SHOULD I CONSIDER
DEPLOYING A GSM GATEWAY?
If your company offers customer support or your employees
are always travelling or you telephone canvass New prospects, you
will know that the quickest route of contact is generally by calling
a mobile phone number or sending a Text Message.
Telephone costs are becoming more and more expensive
and companies are becoming increasingly aware that their monthly
or quarterly telephone bills are predominantly made up of landline
to mobile calls and a lot of calls are not business related. It
is often the case that a mobile phone number is the preferred method
of contacting someone - as it is usually the number that can be
best relied upon to make contact quickly.
WHAT EFFECT DOES
IT HAVE ON MY CURRENT LAND BASED OR MOBILE PHONE CONTRACT?
Installing a GSM gateway alongside your existing Telephone
PBX (Switch) has no effect on the Switch. When a call is made that
has a Mobile prefix (07) the gateway detects the number being dialled
is a mobile number and automatically routes it through a Sim card
in the Gateway. Normal Land Line to Land Line calls pass straight
through the Gateway and onto the fixed line network as normal.

ISDN PRI GSM
GATEWAYS
CCL supplies a range of GSM gateways including the 2N ISDN PRI
GSM GATEWAYS which enable up to 30 simultaneous calls.
It's a great solution for Call Centers, large companies with a
high call traffic to GSM networks or alternative carriers as a call
termination tool.
With the PRI GSM gateway it is possible to make up to 30 simultaneous
calls, send SMS (including mass sending), execute remote control
and maintenance, and use VoIP connection.
PRI (E-1) FCT means cost reduction for customers calling to your
company - thanks to the Intelligent Routing of Incoming Calls and
Least Cost Routing (LCR), routing is made in the cheapest possible
way (according to available providers, free minutes).
2N StarGate
The 2N StarGate is a VoIP/PRI- GSM/3G multichannel GSM gateway
(Fixed Cellular Terminal) intended for large companies and alternative
providers as the 2N StarGate GSM Gateway is a great tool for terminating
calls providing maximum performance, stability and reliability.
Thanks to its high capacity it is very easy to convert the full
capacity of PRI ISDN directly into GSM networks. Back-up GSM channels,
the second PRI (E1) interface and a stable engine guarantee a high
proportion of successful calls.
Thanks to the efficient Least Cost Routing (LCR), the call is always
routed in the possible cheapest way. With 2N StarGate GSM Gateway
you can also originate calls from a GSM network to the ISDN. Any
incoming call from a GSM network is routed through 2N StarGate to
your IVR system, which makes authorization of the call. Then, if
the call is approved, it is possible to dial any number all around
the world.
2N BlueStar
2N BlueStar is a PRI (E1) GSM Gateway (Fixed Wireless Terminal)
designed for medium-size and large companies. Thanks to its flexibility
you don't have to replace it whenever your company has grown. Its
highly sophisticated management of outgoing and incoming calls brings
you substantial savings on calls to GSM networks.
Thanks to the efficient Least Cost Routing (LCR) feature, the 2N
BlueStar GSM Gateway (GSM router) always selects the cheapest way
(GSM, PSTN) for your call. The modularity of the 2N BlueStar GSM
Gateway enables the user to create a tailor made solution according
to the company needs.
The user has the possibility to utilize up to 16 GSM channels,
2 PRI ports and a VoIP interface.
2N BlueTower
The 2N PRI (E1) GSM Gateway family has been extended to include
a NEW product - 2N BlueTower - an up to 8-channel PRI (E1) GSM Gateway
(Fixed Wireless Terminal). It's an ideal solution for medium size
enterprises with a dense call traffic to GSM networks. The 2N BlueTower
reduces dramatically the costs of calls from fixed to mobile networks.
This 2N GSM Gateway converts fixed-to-mobile or mobile-to-fixed
calls into much cheaper mobile-to-mobile calls. Thanks to the sophisticated
Least Cost Router (LCR), all calls are always routed in the cheapest
possible way.
With the Dynamic Clip Routing feature, incoming calls are always
routed to the right extension according to a flexibly changing number
database.
Two ISDN PRI interfaces allow you to install the device between
the PBX and PSTN. This eliminates the need to install an additional
PRI port over your PBX. Moreover, you need not reconfigure your
PBX, which is very useful especially if your PBX is rather obsolete
or you don't know its configuration tools well.
