Chaperon implements a rules based solution that helps you to protect your company's reputation by allowing you to control access to websites that are relevant to your business.

When users access the Internet without any method of control or guidance, the web becomes a place where users can waste significant amounts of time just browsing around. Websites are designed to be absorbing and have erroneous links to other websites which can have no relevance to the original objective.

Chaperon Internet content filtering software allows companies to effectively block websites that have been found to contain information which is either offensive or which falls into specific categories such as job sites, holidays, sport, television, racing, pornography, sex, chat, or web mail.

Over 40 different categories are included, which are all visible to the site administrator of the system. The software automatically categorizes any new website that is visited by a user, and the site is then manually verified before being added to the software directory. The directory is updated every 2 hours using the information that is gathered by the Chaperon user base worldwide.

The software produces extensive reports which detail the sites that have been visited by each user or PC, and shows the amount of time spent at each website and the files that have been downloaded by each user.

The Internet content filtering software is recommended by Microsoft and works in close association with the ISA server provided by Microsoft.

Pricing for Chaperon 2000 ranges from £2.29 to £43.08 per user including 1 year maintenance, depending on the number of users. For charities and educational institutions the pricing is from £2.04 to £14.08.
