The software automatically categorizes any new website that is visited by a user, and the site is then manually verified before being added to the software directory. The directory is updated every 2 hours using the information that is gathered by the Chaperon user base worldwide.

The software produces extensive reports which detail the sites that have been visited by each user or PC, and shows the amount of time spent at each website and the files that have been downloaded by each user.

The Internet content filtering software is recommended by Microsoft and works in close association with the ISA server provided by Microsoft.

Pricing for Chaperon for ISA Server ranges from £2.29 to £43.08 per user including 1 year maintenance, depending on the number of users. For charities and educational institutions the pricing is from £2.04 to £14.08.
